Had to change my email to post on here

Yesterday a notice at the top of this forum said "Attempts to send emails to xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com have failed. Please update your email. Later it said I had been sent a verification code to verify my account - which didn't arrive - no emails arriving. I was unable to post with "you don't have sufficient privileges" or something. I opened a ticket last night.

I have had to change my account email address to a different one to be able to post on here today. Can someone let me know what is going on please? There is nothing wrong with my original email address, it is working fine. It is outlook.com and there is nothing in junk mail either.

It means that your email has been marked inactive (bounced) by the newsletter system but the thing I find most absurd is that this fundamental option for admins is not implemented in self-hosted but only in the cloud.

I had the same thing happen to me yesterday. Not sure why I had to update my email. I am very active on this site. Doesn't make sense......

Is your email outlook.com as well? I wondered if it was outlook being aggressive with bouncing filters or something. Although seems unusual as all kinds of junk gets through!

Mind was @hotmail.com but all the same Microsoft email extensions.

There's been ongoing issues with mail deliverability to all Microsoft email domains - including hotmail.com and outlook.com

This will be affecting all websites which send emails - it's not a XenForo specific issue.

One of my members reported an issue with their hotmail/email notifications. Seems to have been a 24ish hour bug, they were again working today.
