Apart from resetting my password, what else should I do? I've updated my security question and recovery email.

First time I've got one of these. Gmail is usually quite secure to these things.

Did you make sure the link to the reset page is from google and not a fishing site?

Change your password and possibly do a two-step authentication.

If you sign up for alot of forums .... you email and password can be stolen.
If you use the same password for your gmail account ... now they can login to your email.

I use two step authentication. My entire life is on Google these days, so the extra security is essential.

Well, either you just ****ed yourself or you just reset your password. There are phishing emails out there that are laid out like Google sent it and even says it's from Google but won't have the proper links to the buttons you click. If you went to a REAL password reset, you should be all fine, resetting your PW to something new that you've never used before and changing your security questions is about as far as you can go unless you're being keylogged.
