XF 1.5 Google Auto ads not working on iPads or tablets in general

My users are getting pissy about this, and I haven't a clue on how to fix it.
only happening on tablets, happening on safari, and chrome. these ads are supposed to size to the format, yet its not happening here.
any ideas would be appreciated.

Google Auto Ads are a mess on most forums, whether it's on desktop/laptop or on mobile.

Switch to Google Responsive Ads and select how many and where you want them to appear. They do actually resize properly.

if you have just switched them on, they take a bit of time to adjust. but even then, randomly out of the blue they would start breaking your layout again. and then after a day or two, might or might not fix by itself.

i finally disabled auto-ads this week for logged in users. forum structure is way too complicated for auto-ads. i bet they work great on blogs.
