Getting A Xenforo Error When Trying To Show Chitika Ads As A Direct Link

    Hi. I'm trying to use Chitika ads with Digital Point Ads on my xenforo forum The 8th Legion.

    Thread about DPA here: http://xenforo.com/community/threads/digital-point-ads.12342/

    My problem thread here: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=2354975

    In Digital Point Ads, it allows you to directly link to your own ads as a substitute for when there are no DPA ads.

    It says to do it by URL.

    I asked the webmaster who created this ad system and he says that I have to put the chitika ad as a javascript inside a blank file then upload it to my host and serve it from there as an html file. I tried that and it did not work. This is the url http://www.the8thlegion.com/ads/chitika1.html for my top banner and http://www.the8thlegion.com/ads/chitika2.html for the bottom banner. They show up as the forum with an error when the ads are inserted by the DPA system in an iframe.

    DigitalPoint says its either a host or Xenforo issue.

    I asked my host and they said it was a Xenforo or DPA issue.

    Please help!

    Both those URLs are 404 file not found. Either the file is in the wrong place on your server, or maybe XenForo's .htaccess rewrite system is intercepting the request?

    They are definitely in the right place! I sent my .htaccess to your message so you can take a look.

    If you don't want people seeing what's in the directory... {shrug}
