So, since Google suddenly won't serve ads on my search results pages, I'm looking for a way to resolve the problem. Most of my users access their content with some sort of predefined search string like "What's New", but Xenforo generates a unique ID as part of the URL string. Since Google hasn't crawled that URL, they won't serve ads on it. I never had this problem until very late last year, on two sites... one on XF 1.5 and the other is running XF 2.0 as of general release.
This seems to happen on some other pages as well, and I suspect that is related to the content (members page) requiring a user to be logged in to view it, which Google's crawlers are not. I thought there used to be a way to make that work too, but I haven't researched it lately.
What I'm trying to do may not be possible, but I'm losing a lot of pageviews following this change, and my sites don't even cover their operating costs with ad revenue as it is, so I'm not being greedy for ad money.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
