XF 2.1 General question about moderator permissions

Hello

after migrating to XF 2.1x I would like to optimize permissions. My question: Moderator permissions are configured in /admin.php?moderators/. Do I also need to configure moderator permissions in user groups /admin.php?user-groups/?

If "yes", what is the best practise here?

The easiest way to explain this would be if you use the permissions in the user group moderators thats what all moderators will have. But say you wanted to give extra permissions to certain moderators, thats when you would use permissions under the moderators and edit that particular user.

Pretty sure I worded that correctly.
