Yes you can make the grid node style a child of dark version and got it.

Thanks very much. It would however be nice if you could make your themes compatible with ThemeHose add-ons like Covers. Apart from that, heads up for updating your themes!
P.S.: I believe the extra footer does not show neither, even though I have enabled it.
