Friendly URL's

My forum is located in a directory called "forum".

When I look at the URL's generated in the address bar of my browser it looks a little odd in that the word "forum" is used twice, e.g.

http://www.mydomain.com/forum/forums/visitors/

Can this be changed somehow (other than moving the forum into the root of my domain) ?

There is no way of changing the /forums part of the URL.

You could always change the directory name to e.g. community, as it is here.
In which case it would be http://www.mydomain.com/community/forums/visitors/http://www.mydomain.com/forum/forums/visitors/

Mmmm ok, not so easy to do AFTER it has been installed do you think?

You should be able to just update the URL in the ACP and move the files to the new location/rename the directory.

I have moved installations in this way previously whilst testing.

I would recommend testing this on a test installation beforehand though.

This is very much a test installation.
