    Yes. Google may penalize your site because it sees it as a duplicate content.

    You can also keep the www, not you shouldn't have the both pour the same content.

    Or... you can set your preferred URL in google webmaster tools and not worry about the redirect.
    With that said, I do have a redirect in place to remove www on most of my sites.

    The webpage at http://www.herocraftonline.com/main/ has resulted in too many redirects. Clearing your cookies for this site or allowing third-party cookies may fix the problem. If not, it is possibly a server configuration issue and not a problem with your computer.

    It's not part of the XenForo software, how can it possibly be in the core?

    It's an .htaccess server rewrite rule.
