XF 2.0 Force thumbnails

Is it possible to force threads to only display thumbnails, requiring you to click on them for the large image? Want to conserve bandwidth a bit.

That would require custom development, I do not recall seeing a addon that does that currently.

OK. Seems like it might just be a template hack in that case, but I don't have a clue where to start...
