Since part of my site is wordpress, I'm starting with Rank Math. I heard it was better than Yoast. Any suggestions?

Wordpress is more of a blogging journal type of thing.
So my idea would be your members using wordpress as their form of blogging about some topic that won't get them into deep strife with others.
Where you showcase their journals.

Both Yoast and Rank Math supply the basics, meta titles and descriptions as well as guides to help with supposedly good SEO semantics (sentence and paragraph length, key word distribution, subheaders etc). It’s a shame there isn’t anything quite like that xenForo.

The sad thing for website publishers is that Google is shifting away from website search results towards spoonfeeding its users with YouTube videos (often inane and irrelevant) or AI slop. It now tries to provide answers itself rather than opening up areas of useful online research. Even Wikipedia seems to getting shoved down lower in the search results

I was thinking SEO was only half of it and I would also have to somehow register the site with AI if that is even possible.

No AI would just suck all your information over to a chat context session without gaining you any organic traffic. Just scraping bots.

Pretty much dead internet theory is alive in 2026

Hey don’t get sad about anything mate. Weaponize every possible advantage you can.

Make YouTube videos targeting Google SEO with description links to your website. Do the same thing with whatever every other search engine favors - work smart not hard.
