XF 2.0 Follow user and email notification

Hi,
If user follow me I get only notification, not email?
If no email, how can I get email notification?

There is no email sent for a member following you, only an alert.

By following any member what is achieved.

I do follow some members, i only see them separately in online list.

I dont get any update about member to whom i follow.


What is purpose of following, is there anyother feature other than showing online separately.

I’d need my users to be able to follow users and receive emails instead/additional to an alert when the followed user posts a new thread.
