XF 2.1 Folder "internal_data/attachments" and "data/attachments" is same ?

I don't understand why in "internal_data/attachments" always have a ".data" file. we can rename it the same extension file in folder "data/attachments".
Example: when we post an image with the extension ".jpg" you can see 2 files in "internal_data/attachments" and "data/attachments" but a different extension.
Please help me . I need to save storage in my VPS.

They are not the same. The files stored in the data/ directory are publicly accessible (such as avatars and attachment thumbnails), while the files stored in the internal_data/ directory are used internally (like full attachments, which must be served via the attachments/ route for proper access control).

@hanyuwomr You should look for tooling to optimize your attachments. I know @ThemeHouse has an add-on for that and I use this one.

But it uses API kraken.We need many money.

Only the one from Themehouse. The other one is a local install.
