XF 2.1 firefox: url: www.site/forum # site/forum = session problem

Once logged in, if you click on any internal link (forum) that starts www then the new tab the user is logged out.

logged (url): https://site.com/forum
clicked link: https://www.site.com/forum/test

in this tab, removing www. will be back in session.

note: Works normally on Chrome. Problem in Firefox (I already cleared cookies/cache), I have not tested in IE11.

That is correct, effectively you have 2 sites, the www version and the non-www version. You need to set up redirects from one to the other. See point 19 of the FAQ.

To fix this issue you need to Enable board URL canonicalization:

Admin -> Setup -> Options -> Basic board information -> Enable board URL canonicalization

Martok, thanks for trying. But it is not appropriate to suggest older procedures (unless directed by the XF team) and for an older version.
