XF 2.0 Filter forums

We have had an influx of new members which has seen us have a lot more new posts, is it possible to filter out forums from the new posts?

Do you mean posts from a specific forum? It should be possible in the each forum’s settings

Yes, for example I have forums called forum 1 to 5 but someone is only interested in forums with post from forum 2,4,5 so don’t want 1 and 3 to show new posts.

Yes, in the forum settings untick:

Include threads from this forum when users click "New posts

I’ve looked an can’t see that setting, and will that just do threads and not whole forums?

It will stop all threads posted in that forum from showing in new posts

Ah I see it now, maybe I should have said i want the user to be able to filter out forums they don’t want to see

There is an unmanitained addon for xf1, but nothing Im can see for xf2
