As designed Field not required (navbar search)

I'm not entirely sure whether this is intentional or not, but on the navbar's search tool, you are able to submit the form without entering anything into the search field, which of course results in an error. Is this field meant to be required, or are you opting to show the page error instead?

You can enter a users name below and do an “open” search without entering any search terms.

Ah okay, that makes sense then. I assumed that was just an option to filter results from the keyword search.
