Dear XenForo Development Team and Community,

I would like to propose a new feature enhancement for XenForo's Direct Message (DM) system that I believe would significantly improve the user experience, especially for communities that rely on group collaboration.

Feature Request:

. Member Management in Direct Message:
- The group creator can add or remove members from the group chat at any time.
- Notifications will be sent to all members when someone is added or removed.
- Members can leave the group chat voluntarily at any time.

This feature would greatly enhance XenForo’s communication capabilities by allowing users to manage group conversations more effectively, particularly for communities that require frequent group discussions or team-based interactions.

Call for Community Vote:

If you believe this feature would be beneficial, I encourage everyone in the community to vote for its inclusion. Your support will help bring this valuable feature to life and enhance the experience for all XenForo users.

Looking forward to your feedback and votes!

Best regards,

Never understood why you could add one, but not remove them. This is common practice in Slack channels to remove someone from a project, even if the notifications don't bother them, because they're no longer needed there.

Dupe.

Members can already leave DMs so that is covered.

Yes, users can voluntarily leave. But they just stop receiving messages.

But they are still in the "Direct message participants" list

This is confusing and annoying for the remaining users.
