Feature content based on usergroup e.g. paid subscribers can get their classifieds featured

If feature content could automatically feature threads by usergroup, then premium members could have their classifieds shown on a featured widget.

I'm not quite sure how this would work on huge forums where there may be more threads by subscribers than there are available slots though. Might need some thought from someone way cleverer than I am. Maybe randomise them.

I wonder if what you're looking for could be accomplished by using the Search Forum feature. You could add a Search Forum which displays posts from the forums you want and have them be filtered by the thread creator's primary or secondary groups. then uncheck the box that displays the node in the node listing.

Then you can create a Search Forum widget and display these hoisted threads on whatever page you want, either using the built-in positions or by using an explicit widget id.

Indeed it can, but not with a carousel - I should have mentioned that was my reason to ask for this with featured content as there is the availability of a Carousel.

Currently I can do this using a Search Forum and the excellent enhanced search forum widgets.
