XF 2.1 Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Unknown named parameter

Hi,

I am currently experiencing a problem installing Xenforo 2.1.6 Patch 1 onto Apache (XAMPP). I have set the appropriate permissions on the directories data and internal_data and the problem still persists. My XAMPP (Apache) version is 8.0.19 / PHP 8.0.19. I have attached the error in a code block below.

I hope somebody can help me to resolve this issue, my license has expired sadly but I am looking into renewing my license in the future.

Not sure if XF 2.1.6 is compatible with PHP 8, try using PHP 7.4 maybe...

Thank you for your swift response. I followed what the guidance had told me to do, however I will downgrade my PHP version to 7.4 and let you know once that has been completed.
