Hi Team,
We have a forum with xenForo
and we are facing issues related to Search. We have some different examples that are given below:
1. When we are searching a code having character length less than 4 for example E11, M54 etc. We are not getting any results.
When we click on search, it shows not found while we have E11 related posts.

2. When we are searching a code which contains a dot for example E11.51 we are not getting any results.
When we click on search, it shows not found while we have E11.51 related posts.

Diabetes with PVD
I'm hoping to gain some insight on coding for Diabetes with PVD. From working in the field, I've always been told that if a patient has Diabetic PVD, E11.51 not to submit the code for PVD alone, I73.9 because the Diabetic code covers it. Looking at the CMS mappings for E11.51, it shows HCC...

Question - Correct coding of PVD, DM, and Arteriosclerosis
For DM with PVD, use E11.51. If the provider has only documented 'arteriosclerosis', I70.90 - unspecified atherosclerosis - is the correct code. It would not be correct to code that it is of the extremity and/or with claudication if that is not documented.
