XF 1.4 Facebook page plugin to sidebar

Hi,

I'd like to add the Facebook page plugin to my sidebar (the Like Box being deprecated this month).
How do I do that?
It seems like you've got to create an app first or something?

Create the page plugin: https://developers.facebook.com/products/social-plugins/embeds/

Add the code to the sidebar, or create your own template and include it.

It asks for an app ID to be connected to.
I have old apps, I can't even remember how to do that
