Hi,
we have currently about 150830 entries in xf_resource_watch and over 1000 watchers for popular downloads. The moderation of updates runs sometimes in timeouts due to queue thousands of Email notifications. Extending the timeouts is not the way to go (what if another download get's 100.000 watcher).
The generation of notification emails for the queue should itself run in small batches via the build in cron system.
