XF 2.2 Errors popping up loading site...

On XF 1.5 no problems, now on 2.2 users are getting random errors when trying to load my site, the following error was on WiFi.

Another users gets similar errors on occasion using chrome on a laptop, but it almost always immediately loads after that.

Any ideas?

Not sure how to do that on Safari, but in Firefox/Chrome you can enable a 'Developer Mode' to see the network requests or javascript errors when loading the page. This could help you get a better idea of what the problem is. 'Protocol error' is pretty vague. (http2? ssl? udp/tcp?)
