I have a user who got an error when posting with IE9. This started yesterday and may be caused by an update to IE.

"The following error occurred: Please enter a valid message."

When switching to another browser this takes care of the issue.

I don't have any issues posting with IE9.

Are they able to post here?
Do you have any add-ons installed?

    Some more info...

It seems if I test with I.E, I can use the quick reply function on my forum, if I do 'more options' I get the problem.

"The following error occurred: Please enter a valid message."

The 'Error on page' message from I.E:

    Code:
    Webpage error details

User Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 5.1; Trident/4.0; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.0.4506.2152; .NET CLR 3.5.30729)
    Timestamp: Wed, 21 Dec 2011 14:21:24 UTC

Message: Object doesn't support this property or method
    Line: 283
    Char: 5
    Code: 0
    URI: http://vauxhallownersnetwork.co.uk/js/tinymce/themes/xenforo/editor_template.js?_v=4c1a0d8d

This is on I.E 8.0.6001.18702 - Also had the above issue reported with I.E 7 from one user (although without any detail)

This only seems to happen if you quickly click in the box before the page has completed loading.

I'll try it on this site in a sec.

    Dave.

So think it could be an addon on our sites that's causing it?

Ugh. When I first read that I was thinking addons to the browser, not the site. I'll PM my addon list to PVO_Dave and we'll see if anything matches up.

PVO_Dave is probably posting this right now. It's an AzuCloud/IE9 issue.

Looks like between us we nailed it: AzuCloud :(
