Enhanced Search

Hi - just wondering if anyone knows anything about enhanced search and the elastisearch thingy?

I have a really big board so I think we need this - we also have a xenword bridge though. Does anyone know if the enhanced search
a) Will work okay with the bridge and
b) Is difficult to install?

You will require root access to install it, which presumably you have if you have a large site.

Your sysadmin or host should be able to install elasticsearch on the server, otherwise there are several guides in the Enhanced Search Support forum (which is where I have moved the thread).

No additional content is indexed, so whatever you are currently able to search using the default MySQL search, is what you will be able to search using ES.
