XF 2.3 Email users for new post

Currently, users receive a notification only when they get a reply to their post. However, this means that before receiving a reply, they may no longer find their post, and often this causes duplicate posts.

Would there be a way to send a confirmation email to users who have posted a new post?

Just show them how to search for their own threads. They can also just click on their post count on their profile page to get a list of their recent posts.

Or the your content link. That’s what works best for me.

Hello and thank you for your responses! Unfortunately, not all of our clients are familiar with forums. With all the features of XF, I thought there would be one that included an email for the new post.

I doubt there would ever be a function that emails you when you create a post.
