Easily thank people who have reported posts

We rely heavily on user moderation, when looking at a reported post it would be good to have the reactions appear with the reporter comments, so I can easily thank the reporter. Or failing that, a button that when clicked sends a pre-determined message to the reporter saying thanks for reporting the post.

It is true but it is a generic and ephemeral message.
I guess what is suggested by @JamesBrown is that we can from the reporting center send a personalized message to the author of the report and why not assign him a positive reaction point.

Yes it would be nice if the response can let them know about the action you took.

This is why I don’t use the report centre but instead use a report forum and the member reporting is part of the report discussion,

I think it also depends on the type of report: if it's just to report a SPAM message or a discussion between members that goes wrong it's not the same thing nor the same consequences and actions.
