XF 2.3 e-mailing users

I'm trying to e-main users in a user-group. I'm selecting the user group I would like to e-mail but when I go to send it. It tells me, No users matched the specified criteria. What am I doing bad? Do I need to add all the user names? and not just be able to e-mail people that are in a group?


Also why is all this needed to send an e-mail??

No, it's not that ( I don't think ) . it's telling me, No users matched the specified criteria.

That's why I mentioned it. That's exactly what it would say if they haven't ticked receive news/update emails, and you use the email form with this:

Well if I un-clicked that would it not send them out? Also if they have that checked, does it spam them with e-mails anytime someone makes a post? or just when the admin wants to send them an e-mail?

Yes, you have it unchecked so that should send emails (see my edit). Hopefully they are all admins so won't complain about spam.

However I see you have set it to send to primary and secondary of State Admins.

I don't think it's possible for a user to have the same group as primary and secondary, yet both are selected as criteria so maybe that's the issue

They should have registered as primary and the State Admin as secondary, that's the way xenForo is designed so maybe that is the issue as no users would have both.

They are admins, and this is the first time I've e-mailed them. So I want to Make sure they all get this. But I also have "Automatically include an unsubscribe link"

See I tried that, and it's only pulling up 3 names. I looked at the user settings and they are all default. As in the people that are not being pulled in this list have the same settings as the ones that are. ?

It's still only pulling 3 people. and I've looked at all the other users in that group. the settings are all the same way from what I can tell. also I have it set to e-mail even though they may have it set to no. But I've looked and its not set to no.
