Currently the XF2 draft system has no connection between the Creator service and the Draft service, which makes extending both systems difficult without using global variables to ship information between them.
That the draft feature includes an extendable extra_data system is great, it is just getting data into it is non-obvious.
I don't expect this would change in 2.0.x, but would be great for 2.1.x
