Currently, a user-initiated deferred task starts in the same request it was initiated (like installing an add-on). This is fine, but if the deferred max time was increased, it can leave the current page loading for a while (like the add-on install page).

I personally believe it would be more ideal to wait until the actual run-deferred page is accessed before starting execution...

Not major, and probably won't make much difference to the vast majority of users, but still :)
