Do I have to verify Users when I want to offer AddOns on my site?
If so, what is the best way to do so in order to have an easy experience for the customer?

We provide an API which can be used for that purpose: License Validation

I believe there a few add-ons available which integrate the functionality into the forum.

Yes, I have see that, but your process is a manual process so I was hoping for some AddOns. I saw some but none without problems according to the feedback...
