A function to talk to yourself ... I just don't see the point for now, even when you can reporting it

It has been a feature requested for a long time.

You can use it in place of a private forum for notes, etc.

No different to sending WhatsApp messages to yourself.

We've had this as an add-on for at least a couple of years... Looks like it's redundant now. I wonder if they'll be a conflict if anyone using our Mod upgrades XF. They'll probably have to uninstall.

Making your own notes I get, that's easy, but why not have it in its own Notes section just like iOS has? That way you keep better track of what you're doing where. Now it gets mixed up. Still, XF2.3 is becoming beautiful this way.

Then you need to implement a whole new feature, which is costly, but will many people need it?

Yes good question, DM or a Note is almost the same thing. You leave something for someone somewhere. I prefer to keep it separate, but that's personal.
