XF 1.2 Display SubCategorys

Hey,

I just had to move the whole forum into one category, because we are expanding.
I thought that the old user now just edit their favs to this category and have the same. But it looks like xenforo doesnt allow me to show the forums within a category. Is there any way to change this ?

The nodetree should/is atm something like this

• Main (category)
  • news (forum)
  • feedback (forum)
• Server (Category)
  • alpha (category)
    • main (category)
      • announcements (forum)
      • feedback (forum)
      • ...
    • user (category)
      • forum1
      • forum2
      • forum3
      • ...
    • ...
  • beta (category)
    • same like alpha
  • ...
• more (category)
  • forum1
  • forum2
  • ...

Before the expand there was only one server, so we didnt need the "server" category.
Now I added this Category and if u open "alpha", only the categorys are shown. -> u have to click twice to see the forums...

Atm, if u see a category within a category it´s shown as a forum (from the style)

This is intentional. You can change this in the templates if you prefer (it's a level 2 category).

if I change it, it destroys everything. why isnt there a simple setting for this ?


If I open a category it should get tier 1 and display its content like the first category.
Even phpbb supports this.


Is there a way to make the tier 2 category nodes tier 1 if u open the category above them ? As if u open a tier 1 category there is only the tier 2 category and it could act like a tier 1. All would be fixed with this.

what is the advantage if the subcategories show as forums when u open the main category ?
