XF 2.2 Display Condition to show a Widget in a specific node

This is not working: $xf.node.node_id == 123, also other approaches like $forum.node_id did not work out. I want to display that text above or below the subforums on the forum with node=123. Thank you.

Also, Forum overview:Top is limited to the forum list/forum new post pages, that conditional won't work with that position selected.

If you're just displaying text, why not use a notice?

does this still work for 2.3? i must be missing something...
im trying to get a simple xfmg slider in one category node only, pasted the exact display condition from above in there, edited the proper node# in....

ok ive figured some things out, but not one main problem, which ive identified by now at least....

i cant get the media gallery slider to show if i try to pick content from categories to display....if i click allow personal albums it will display but only then...i didnt see any category permission that should be issue so what else could it be?

ive narrowed it down again, i think this maybe a bug?

latest media works, random media doesnt....
