Lack of interest Direct Media Linking

Apparently the media tool only supports certain sites, is it possible to support direct mp4 files or so? Using a default <video> HTML5 code and normal controls.

That's exactly what I want. On top of that, you can also add support for most sites by allowing direct mp4, avi... filetypes. Instead of adding specific support for Gamespot for example, you can just link in their mp4, http://video.gamespotcdn.com/d5/2014/08/23/destiny_icebucket_challenge_082314_4000.mp4 for example. It's adding support for a user's own server, as well as lots of others.

Making it a core feature would be pretty sweet.
