Difference between Style Chooser and setting a style in Preferences

Hi,

Is there any difference between setting a style in the Style Chooser in the bottom left corner vs setting a style in the account preferences?

It looks as though Style Chooser sets the style just for that browser, whereas in the user preferences it is set on the account and that style goes into effect on any browser that the user uses.

Is that correct?

They do the same thing - the value is stored in the database.

No they both do exactly the same thing. You can verify by looking at the the xf_user.style_id and see they both update this field.

Thanks for the quick reply. I'm using a style selector add on for mobile, and I think that may be confusing matters slightly.

Up until yesterday I was using a Mobile Style, but finally figured out what to do so I can eliminate the Mobile Style and have all the changes happen when a mobile device is being used. It's so much better having only the Default Style which is reactive to mobile devices.
