Development Site

I'm likely going to Xenforo from vBulletin 3.8. It's a total rebuild of a site that is 20 years old and it is comprehensive, the forums being but a part of it. We are a large community.

My question is this, if I buy Xenforo can I put the script on my development server (which is not publicly accessible) for the purposes of design and testing? I figure it will take about a month under wraps before we're going to be ready to do the final import on our live site. My development server is a different URL than my actual site.

The license permits one public installation and one test installation, so that is fine.

The pre-sales FAQ in my signature explains the limitations related to the test installation.
