Is there any way to run the forum on localhost?
I am making lots of changes and sometimes it does break the forum so I don't really want to do it in production.

Easiest method if on windows is to install a LAMP stack. (My terminology is probably wrong though as your not installing the L bit of LAMP ).

Examples are EasyPHP, WampServer plus others:

I guess I didn't make it clear so you understand me better.

I already got XenForo installed. My question is can I install another copy on my PC, running it on local machine to make changes to addons/mods without purchasing another license.

The reason I ask that is because a lot of software out there either won't allow you to run on private address space or requires you buy additional license for each computer the software is installed on.
