I hate that it's come to this but a few bad apples have spoiled the fun for everyone. I've had to start blocking access to my forum from Tor exit nodes.
Thought I'd share the script I'm running in a cron loop to update the .htaccess file for my site in case anyone else needs to resort to such extreme measures. In a 1-hour loop it's going to update often enough to catch exit node changes.
