Is there an easy way to prune all profile messages from every profile page?

Truncating the xf_profile_post and xf_profile_post_comment tables should do it.

Untested though - take a backup first just in case.

You might be interested in the "Remove Profile Page Tabs" add-on as it also disables the profile posts option.
