Debian 7 code name Wheezy has entered RC1 status, soon approaching RC2 status.

For those of you who do not know, RC mean Release Candidate. This is typically the closest "testing" version before reaching the final version and normally more stable than beta versions.

Debian is also the first distro to offer not only a Net install, CD, DVD, and USB install options, but is now the first to offer a Blu-ray image as well.

So? The installer is RC1, and even if it is released with one of the builds, it doesn't automatically make the build RC1 - which in fact it isn't. The status of the installer has nothing to do with the status of the distribution.
 
I work with a wheezy old geezer irl, my point is debian just stole unbuntu's long held trophy for the most ridiculous distro names
