Adding Adsense code to the html doesn't work. It breaks the code at the end and only shows "(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});"

I don't have an Adsense account so I'm not sure about this problem. Can I see a live demo?

Now it kinda works but it still show the last part of the html under the ad itself. I have tinkered with the code but it either removes the ad completely or breaks the page.
