But my problem is that this isn't compatible with Xon's ElasticSearch Essentials. I get no auto-suggest from this.

Any plans to support XFES so we can get live auto-suggestions? This would by amazing. I plan to buy XFES and a live-search widget like yours.

@BassMan Can this add-on be pre-configured to search for certain forums only?

Currently no and no plans to do it.

can you add an option to search content for the forums that i want.
Example: i have a node forum of "games" and i only want to search games with that widget.

Since this has been already asked/answered, I'm hoping that plans might have changed in 5 years

I see this add-on to be very useful with that feature, since it's quite "natural" to think it's going to search within the current forum node when placed on top of the threads list.

And this is actually what I was searching when I found this resource, for a couple of private nodes!

Any plan on this anytime, BassMan?

Thank you for your question, but sorry, I am not going to do this. There is an Advanced search button already that can do all this and more.
