I understand this is a custom request however I figured I'd ask. We are interested in converting our forum over to XF from phpbb however we are a 3d printer manufacturer and as such many people may upload files in .stl or .obj format. Is it possible to have a 3d file format thumbnail generator or even a file viewer embedded into the file page?
Thumbnails of the 3d models would be perfect and a file viewer would be the icing on the cake. I've seen the requests for embedded sketchfab viewers and we have found github plugins for stl thumbnail generators. Just curious if anyone would like to program this and what it would cost to keep it opensource.
