Is there a limit to the number of custom profile fields you can add? It will only add one of the two I created.

Not really, no.

It will only add one of the two I created.

I'm not sure if you're having trouble creating a new field, saving the field value for a user, or something else. If you're still having issues, post your field configurations and more information about the problem you're running into.
