XF 2.2 CSS border and background questions.

I'm working on replicating an old VB style in Xen. I have been able to inspect and change item #1 and #2, (colors and thickness just set temporarily for testing and clarity) in extra.less via

    border: 15px solid red;
    border-radius: 10px
}

/* Post message block */
.block--messages {
    border: 15px solid green;
    border-radius: 10px
}

I'm having trouble changing #3 (ALL blocks background) to color rgb(247,244,231) because I haven't been able to figure out what sets the ALL block background color.

Also want change the green #1 border to this gif and have it extend all the way from navbar to footer like this (two images are below - (old top and bottom VB forum.}

Also, can a url path be set to relative instead of absolute?

Not necessarily background-image: url(community/styles/jeepcj/postbitimage160w.png); could work

Did you try .p-body-content ?
