RM 2.1 Create Thread At Later Date

We have set up our Resources, but not used the create resource thread feature while we got used to the system.
The question is, how can we build the threads now the resources are set up? We have set the categories up on the forum to house the discussions, but how do we actually start a cron or something to start building the related discussion threads, or can it not be done?

You'd just have to delete and recreate the resource.

We have nearly 600 resources.......
I thought the rebuild resources tool would have done it, but maybe not.
