CPU or RAM?

I'm moving my 4 sites to a dedicated server. Only 1 of the 4 sites are busy. About 300 members and 500 guests on concurrently.

For the same price I can get either

4 core xeon with 32gb ram or 6 core xeon with 16gb ram

(all the other specs are the same)

What would you recommend?

4 core and 32GB RAM every single time.
Your RAM will far outweigh the "missing" 2 cpu cores assuming they are broadly the same speed.

Thanks for help. There were no more 4 Core E3-1230 v6 Xeons left so they gave me the 6 Core E-2236 Xeon for the same price.

Here is was I ended up with.

Processor: 3.4GHz Hexa-Core E-2236 Coffee Lake Xeon
Memory: 32 GB
Primary Hard Drive: 500GB NVMe

Free upgrade? Thank you very much! Looks like a great spec server.
I would recommend you put @eva2000 centminmod on that and it will FLY!

I find that RAM is really important - the bigger my database gets, the more RAM my database server needs. The only time processors have been an issue is when I have a huge number of visitors at once or when I ran a chat add-on.
