Content Blur Pro - Boost Registrations and Upgrades [Paid] v2.3.0

No permission to buy ($40.00)
Maybe I'm not understanding your concept, but from I see your solution raises a lot of issues/questions/concerns:
  • The user could have read the responses in the first 7 days, and made an appropriate response
  • However, if it's the 8th day, suddenly:
    • They can't read any responses
    • Are required to respond "in the dark"
    • Are forced to respond to their own thread just to see responses

Won't this lead to them simply posting any nonsense at all just to be able to read the responses?

Also, who would want to respond to their own thread with an opinion, without actually being able to read what others wrote and "read the room". It seems almost criminal.

Won't this lead to extreme frustration?

No, the idea is that they are forced to participate in the forum, either in that thread or in any other. It can be a weekly period, two weeks, a month, etc. whatever the administrator configures.

To avoid posting nonsense the message should be manually approved by an administrator if the user is limited to blurry messages, otherwise it could be published directly without approval.

Previously with other versions of XF I already tried it by manually editing templates to limit the number of visible characters and creating promotions for users with certain permissions. The number of users who posted nonsense was quite low, probably because they were warned that if they did so they would get to see the post, but only that because after that they would be banned from the forum forever.

@Wutime Can we blur user postbit as well? I actually doesn't want to show search engines this information, but blurring also can work.
The postbit is currently outside the scope, but I'll look into it.

If possible, for next release, I'll make it an option disabled by default to blur the postbit as well.

Okay, but this is really specific. Let me consider it.

🤓 But it's a good idea.:giggle:

I don't understand your question.

But if you're asking why the "message user info" isn't obfuscated... it didn't seem overly important given it's such limited information.

No ☺️ is possible to select text to view ☺️ that is may be because is not covered with blurry image ☺️

It's a web browser, the text is ALWAYS accessible in one way or another, that's how the WWW works.

If you want complete privacy you need to make your forum 100% private to members only.

If you notice, what you highlighted, the text is obfuscated and completely meaningless.

The text below is meaningless in all languages, it's completely obfuscated.

The only version to install is version 2.0
The others are not compatible

Please disable $config[pageCache][enabled] in your config.php.

That limitation can be removed easily, and I can let you know how. As long as you understand the risks associated with doing so

Hmmm, maybe I should make this an option instead of an installer cock block.

I'll release an update to address this once I have time to consider what's best.
