XF 2.2 Conditional which hides a text editor icon for usergroup

Does anyone know if I can use a conditional to hide a single icon from the text editor for a usergroup (or only show to a usergroup), specifically the GIF icon in 2.2?

(NB: I know the conditional to show/hide for usrergroup, just would like to know where I put it if possible)

OK, part way there. I have manged to get the GIF icon to be inoperable by a group if I use a conditional to hide the entire template editor_insert_gif, but not yet able to hide the actual icon from a group.

In fact I wish there's a function that lets the admin to create many custom text editors which are to be selected in the node properties page. per usergroup is also a good idea.
